EXPERIMENTAL LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT - AIRPLANE ENDORSEMENT
|

|
We agree with you to amend portions of your policy as follows:
|
|||
| I. |
DEFINITIONS USED IN THIS POLICY
|
||
|
Definition 11 is deleted in its entirety and replaced by the
following: |
|||
| 11. | "Insured aircraft" means: | ||
| a. | the Experimental Light Sport Aircraft shown in Item 4 of the Data Page; | ||
| b. |
an additional or replacement Special Light Sport Aircraft or Experimental Light Sport Aircraft of which you have acquired full ownership during the Policy Period if we insure all of the Special Light Sport Aircraft and Experimental Light Sport Aircraft you own. Additional or replacement aircraft will no longer be an insured aircraft after 30 days from the date you acquire it, or, if sooner, the date you insure it with another insurer.

Included are its communication, navigation and operating equipment attached or temporarily detached and not replaced. Also included are tools and repair equipment which are specially designed for it.
|
|||
|
Definition 14 is deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following:
|
|||
| 14. |
"Non-owned aircraft" means a Special Light Sport Aircraft, or an aircraft with a standard airworthiness certificate that may be operated by a pilot exercising sport pilot privileges, which is not owned in whole or in part by you or a family member of yours. It must not be furnished or leased to you for more than 30 days during the policy Period.

The definition of a "Special Light Sport Aircraft" is added:
|
|||
|
"Special Light Sport Aircraft" means an aircraft that has been issued a special airworthiness certificate in the light-sport category and the airplane class by the FAA.
|
|||
|
The definition of an "Experimental Light Sport Aircraft" is added:
|
|||
|
"Experimental Light Sport Aircraft" means an aircraft that has been issued an experimental airworthiness certificate in the light-sport category and the airplane class by the FAA.
|
|||
| II. |
EXCLUSIONS APPLYING TO ALL COVERAGES
|
||
|
The following is added to EXCLUSIONS APPLYING TO ALL COVERAGES in your Policy:
|
|||
|
This Policy does not cover bodily injury, property damage, or loss:
|
|||
|
When your insured aircraft has been altered or modified in violation of the experimental airworthiness certificate in the light-sport category, issued to you by the FAA.
|
|||
|
This Policy does not cover bodily injury, property damage, or loss:
|
|||
| If, at the time of the accident or loss the insured aircraft is operated in flight by a pilot who: | |||
| a. | has been denied his or her most recent application for an FAA medical certificate; | ||
| b. | has had his or her most recently issued FAA medical certificate suspended, revoked or withdrawn; | ||
| c. |
has had his or her most recent authorization for a Special Issuance of an FAA medical certificate withdrawn.
|
||
| III. |
INSURANCE FOR YOUR USE OF NON-OWNED AIRCRAFT
|
||
|
Exclusion 2 of ADDITIONAL EXCLUSIONS APPLYING TO INSURANCE FOR YOUR USE OF NON-OWNED AIRCRAFT is deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following:

This insurance does not apply to:
|
|||
| 2. |
The use of an aircraft that is not a non-owned aircraft.
