Q: Do I have to provide you with a copy of my driver's license?
A: In most cases we do not require a copy of your driver's license to activate your policy, however in the event of a claim this is usually part of the documentation that will be requested.

Q: Aside from my driver's license and pilot certificate, is there anything else that is required to operate under the Light Sport Aircraft rules?
A: While you do not need a formal medical certificate to operate under the Light Sport Aircraft rules, Avemco cautions its customers they must still meet the usual and customary requirements under the FAA regulations. For example, you must still comply with any FAA flight review requirements and ensure your aircraft is current with its annual inspection. Please refer to the regulation for further information.
