The best insurance for NAFI members to own when instructing in a non-owned aircraft.
If you're a NAFI member instructing in an aircraft you don't own, you may not have the coverage you need. Not only do many CFIs have inadequate coverage, they don't realize that they may have no liability protection even when named as an approved pilot on the non-owned aircraft.
But with the policy Avemco developed for NAFI you have real protection. This enhanced product is the result of looking closely at the flight training needs of NAFI members to offer a product that best meets those needs.

Professional liability that includes covered liability claims from past instruction as long as the NAFI member has a current policy in force at the time of the accident.

Available for purchase online at your convenience
Up to 10% annual premium credit with the Avemco Safety Rewards Program

Option to save premium by only purchasing coverage for the select type aircraft in which the CFI instructs, including:
- Single-engine Land and Light Sport
- Multi-engine Land
- Seaplane
- Amateur Built including Experimental Light Sport
Coverage available in Alaska (additional charges apply)

Policy is currently not available in all states. In the meantime, in jurisdictions where the expanded CFI coverage is not yet available you may qualify for the Avemco Standard Non-Owned CFI program with many of the same features and benefits. This policy can then be converted to the NAFI CFI Insurance Program policy when it is available in your state.
