For several years, Avemco Insurance Company and Advanced Aviation Simulators, Inc. have supported pioneering research intended to uncover root causes of pilot-induced mishaps and address them. Though still in its initial stages, the research has revealed some traits of superior pilots. These traits, in conjunction with skills-based pilot training, may make aviation accidents less likely. This groundbreaking research is led by Bill Rhodes, Ph.D. from Aerworthy Consulting. You will learn about the interesting results of this work on why some pilots are less likely to have accidents and what all pilots can learn to be more like them.
