AVEMCO® TO PRESENT INSURANCE SEMINARS AT U.S. SPORT AVIATION EXPO 2009

FREDERICK, MD (January 5, 2009) — Accident trends in light sport aircraft and insurance challenges for the pilots who fly them will be highlights of two seminars conducted by Avemco Insurance Company during the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo 2009 at Sebring Regional Airport in Florida, January 22-25.

On Saturday, January 24, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Forum Area #4, Avemco Vice President of Underwriting Mike Adams, will present LSA Accidents - An Insurance Perspective. This seminar will provide a review of light sport aircraft (LSA) accidents to date, issues that insurance companies are concerned about when it comes to LSA hull and liability coverage, and an overview of trends Avemco is seeing in LSA ownership and accidents.

Targeted at the unique needs of light-sport aircraft enthusiasts, Avemco's seminar, Insurance 101, will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in Forum Area #1. Attendees will learn about the benefits of proper liability and physical damage coverage for Light Sport Aircraft as an owner and/or as a renter pilot.
